What better thing to do than everything else than what I really need to be doing? Did you follow? I figure since I really should be doing homework, why not catch up on my email, blog stalking and ice cream eating? Who wouldn't want to surf the web when you could be figuring out problems about particles colliding at certain speeds close to c? Does anyone know what 'c' stands for? Anyways, I thought it would be a good time to type another post.
Why do kids say the darndest things? I think I figured it out. I think they say it to make us realize that we are the idiots, not them. Tonight my daughter asked me: "Why did you yell at Eli?" I replied, 'Because he wasn't listening to me.' Then I thought about it some more and realized. If I'm yelling at him, how can I even notice if he's listening to me. Better yet, why would he listen to me yell? If I were him, I'd probably want to cover my ears or leave the room. So, I'm going to try a different approach. I'm going to try and NOT yell at my kids. I know. This is totally foreign to me and who knows, it might even work! Wish me luck!

That is one cute picture of you and your family. And you craack me up. But hey, I feel you on the yelling thing, sister...I think I may have to try your approach, too. :)

Your family is adorable -- and I love it that we can actually learn something from the kiddoes. Who knew??
i'm totally with you on this. both the procrastination and the yelling.
